September 11^th marks a tragic moment in our nation’s history and we take this opportunity to remember the mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers who perished nine years ago.  Even years later, the wound of that day is barely healing, but like a child’s playground fall, the pain will dwindle, the wound will heal and the memory will last.  To their families and friends, our community extends its thoughts today and everyday that time will continue to heal and preserve the cherished memories of loved ones.

Since then, our nation has changed, but throughout it, those who serve her have been resolute in protecting those democratic ideals that so many around the world long to be part of.  Thanks to the men and women who courageously volunteer themselves to protect our country by land, sea and air, these words can be imprinted, thoughts can be openly opined and everyone has the opportunity to practice his or her faith without repercussion.

It is our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all of our military personnel who are serving our nation today and who have honorably served throughout her history.  Because of you, America continues to possess life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and embrace the historical words echoed by our founding fathers that “all men are created equal.”
